Rick puts on one of the finest driving schools in California. I am very thankful for all the help and the and the confidence that I have built as a driver in many tight spots driving. I'm sure many crew members and cameramen are happy I took Rick's class.

Movie action is a business where there is rarely any categorical proof of a performer's qualification except their reputation. There are lots of backgrounds which potentially grant a new stunt performer good grounding for a life in the profession but there are very few places a stunt performer can learn precisely the skill sets they will need in an on screen action discipline. Rick Seaman's Stunt Driving School is a rare exception to this rule. Rick Seaman brings many years of experience performing every form of vehicle stunt and now years of successful teaching the precise skills needed to be a Professional Stunt Driver. So many people consider themselves "stunt drivers" but in truth driving on camera with control and safety is a learned skill and failure can be potentially dangerous and expensive.
Rick Seaman's Stunt Driving School is, in my opinion, the best place in the world for any stunt performer, precision driver or actor to learn or improve their on screen driving skill. This is true whether the driver is newly entering the profession or a seasoned veteran wishing to practice and sharpen their skills. No matter who, any time spent with Rick Seaman instructing will improve a driver's ability and make them better driving on camera and without doubt more confident and safer doing so.

I first took Rick Seaman's Level 1 Stunt Driving class in 1998. In the first few minutes of sitting down with Rick I knew that I was going to get my moneys worth. I really felt like he was going to give up all of his secrets and he did.
Rick has a wealth of stunt driving experience and knowledge and does not hold anything back when sharing it with his students. He communicates his knowledge and driving techniques in a manner that is fun and easy to comprehend. There was plenty of wheel time as the class was small (3 of us), and I did not have to share my car with any of the other students. Aside from some excellent demonstrations and ride along by the extraordinarily skilled and friendly instructors the students were the ones doing all of the driving. The class covers how to execute a lot of different stunt driving skills.
It gave me a great foundation on which to build my stunt driving career. I think that Rick's class is an essential investment for anyone who wants to learn how to be a stunt driver. I had a smile on my face for three days straight, and that was just level 1.
Take this class, you won't be sorry!

A few words about Rick Seaman’s stunt driving school
First let me acknowledge that Rick and I have done films together for more than thirty years. That being said, I felt before I could recommend Rick's classes to others I had to take the class myself. No special treatment or advanced driving, just like any other student. I followed his instructions from the very basic in techniques to the nuances of his very unique and highly effective braking methods. With all I thought I knew going in, I truly found new, better and more consistent ways of performing maneuvers that I had been executing on film for years. He preps this stunt cars as if they where on a Multi-million dollar movie and states we don’t do anything slow and easy here and brother does he mean it.
Each day as I trained there I’d have a huge grin on my face and at its end (still grinning) a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Ricks encouraging words Yeah! Yeah!! YEAH!! That he bellowed over the radio and would echo through your car when you hit you mark or slide just right into the box, it would just make you want to do even better on your next run.
Today as a stunt coordinator, I would not entertain taking on a new driver on a show that had not taken a series of Rick Seaman's courses. Further I must say that taking his higher-level classes there can only increase one's opportunities in the stunt driving business.
